PreFRESCA! CIA. FIL D’ARENA presents ZENEZ

ZENEZ is a hybrid piece of dance and live music. Premiered at Dansa València this year, it is performed by two contemporary dancers and two musicians. The txalaparta, an ancestral percussion instrument, is deconstructed and blurred among cables and electronically created residual sounds, generating an ethereal yet solid world for dance. A common drift between movement, wood, electronics, textures, silences, and atmospheres.

A multidisciplinary company made up of four women, FIL D’ARENA emerged in 2011 as a place to materialise the concerns that arise as a collective. Their language is movement and their tool is the body. They use the name of dance-theatre because they are at the limits of both, although the truth is that they are interested in all performing practices such as music and circus.
