The Show
CALOR is inspired by the situation faced by many homeless people. Involuntary travellers who were forced to leave their houses, compelled to depart from their homes in haste. Nomads of our time who traverse the world seeking a place, blindly feeling their way through foreign societies and cultures, cities and towns. It’s a show about human relationships and the search for home, combining clowning with circus arts. It presents a dreamlike and poetic universe where the audience is invited to feel, to imagine and laugh, to think and play…
Jean Philippe Kikolas is the stage name of Quique Méndez, a clown, circus artist, and stage creator. In his creations, he champions the reformulation of the classic from the contemporaneity of circus and performing arts, reclaiming performance spaces that use squares, big tops, and convoys as part of his proposal to bring the tradition of itinerant art into the present day.
