Rocío Molina continues the Trilogy on the guitar with a second show of pure and cathartic dance. All transcendence is followed by a dark night of the soul. Under the slow passing of the clouds, the tumultuous black sea emerges that invades everything. On top of it, Rocío Molina dances Al Fondo Riela, the antithesis of Inicio (Uno), the encounter with the Lo Otro del Uno. In rigorous black, Molina is torn between two guitars. She dances farruca, seguiriya, bulerías, soleá, in an incessant struggle with her own image, with the Lo Otro del Uno, which immerses her in the depths of all her fears. Vanity, ambition, pride, loneliness… but, Al Fondo Riela. A tremulous light vibrates at the end of the infinite, black becomes colour. Liberation, the Vuelta al Uno, is near.

Versatile dancer, iconoclastic choreographer and restless creator, Rocío Molina is not just any artist. Radically free, she demonstrates in her pieces technical virtuosity, contemporary research and conceptual risk. She was awarded the Gold Medal for merit in Fine Arts in 2022, and the Venice Biennale awarded her the prestigious Silver Lion, it is for a reason and, in the case at hand, she does so by going beyond her record of usual dance of strength and empowerment. On this occasion, not only movement and sound take center stage, but also color and light, resulting in a spectacle of wonderful images that take place in the “dancing castle” that she has been building over the years to now say goodbye. to one of its faithful guardians, the guitar.The artist from Malaga gives a dance lesson to the point of exhaustion, which is also a round trip from the classic to the avant-garde, making it clear, once again, that Rocío Molina has long forgotten what they will say.
