The Show
In this show, twelve artists on stage – dancers and musicians – will guide us in a tribute to love, in the broadest sense of the word, and its consequences. The starting point will be the copla, but a copla updated with new sounds and structures. It will be a musical encounter between the past and present, where the choreography will transport us to different atmospheres: desire, fantasy, the carnal, embraces, religion… and they will reflect on the importance of human relationships.
Manuel Liñán, winner of the 2017 National Dance Prize, is a flamenco dancer and choreographer with deep flamenco roots. After years of exploring new trends, he chooses to continue with tradition and take it to an unusual point between genius and simplicity, positioning himself at the forefront of flamenco. His shows are characterised by an absolute mastery of the stage space and the ability to create new paradigms and extract their maximum potential. Manuel weaves a solid and traditional narrative where singing, guitar, and dance are the hosts.
