The Show
Dels Altres is a Valencian company led by Eleonora Gronchi and Pablo Meneu. Both artists have spent a significant part of their professional careers abroad. They also share a passion for creating multidisciplinary shows, combining contemporary circus with physical theatre, movement, set design, and so on. Their work often experiments with format and audience interaction, developing innovative stage proposals with a very strong visual component.
VERDE CASI NEGRO takes its inspiration from José Sanchis Sinisterra’s play, El lector por horas (The Reader for Hours). The production explores the ancient and wild intimacy of human nature, the tension between the ecstasy of letting oneself be seduced by the unknown and the inert, calm security of what always was and always will be.
Humanity fled the forests, believing them to be inhospitable environments, without realising that perhaps the velvet of the seats we sit on daily would be more inhospitable.
