The Show
We live in an era seemingly full of struggles, conflicts, and divisions. Us versus them, people against people, nations against nations, cultures against cultures. Human life as a game where one person’s gain can only be achieved through another’s loss. We believe there’s another way. A path where our capacity for love and care is stronger than our animosity; our capacity for understanding and compassion more resilient than our divisions, and our differences are celebrated and become our strength.
Seventeen artists from 14 different countries have come together to form Copenhagen Collective, a new acrobatic collective based in Denmark. Their first production, THE GENESIS, addresses human interdependence and celebrates the strength of the collective in a world marked by divisions. Through minimalist staging, the artists use their bodies to narrate stories of collaboration and connection.
